The problem
On seasonal farms and at vineyards, attendance tracking relies on paper timesheets that slow payroll processing and create disputes between workers and supervisors about hours worked and quantities delivered. When labour inspectors or auditors arrive, farms struggle to produce clean records of working time and pay calculations. The lack of digital proof means piece-rate disagreements can take hours to resolve, and payroll input often arrives late to the accounting team because time records have to be manually re-entered from paper into the payroll system.
The product
FieldOps is a mobile-first system that captures worker attendance and task output on smartphones and tablets, even without internet connection, and calculates accurate pay using country-specific wage rules. The platform includes a web-based admin interface for supervisors and HR staff to manage crews assigned to fields and sites, verify photo proof of completed tasks, configure day rates or piece rates per crop, record contractor invoices and settlements, and export clean wage records that any payroll provider can import. Workers can view their own hours and earnings in their preferred language through a self-service portal.

The system organizes workers into crews assigned to sites and fields, tracking each person's time and output throughout the season.
Attendance capture
Workers and supervisors can clock in and out on mobile devices, even with no internet connection. Supervisors can also bulk-enter time for workers who lack smartphones, and the system can optionally verify location per task or site.
Task assignment & proof
Each day, workers record which tasks they completed, attach photos as proof, and enter the quantities delivered or produced.
Wage engine
The system calculates pay using day rates or piece rates as configured, and applies bonuses or deductions. Each crop and task can have its own rate table.
Contractor settlement
For labour contractors and crew leads, the system tracks invoices and settlement statements, and helps resolve disputes by showing exact record of work and output.
Payroll export
At the end of the pay period, the system exports wage data in the format required by the client's payroll provider or country.
