AgriMarket Intelligence

This platform consolidates commodity and agri-market data from sources you are licensed to use, providing normalised price series alongside weather and satellite overlays. You gain immediate alerts on price or climate changes and can export clean data for further analysis.

The problem

Traders, processors and policy researchers across Europe face a persistent fragmentation problem. Commodity and agricultural market prices exist scattered across dozens of portals, PDF documents and email feeds, forcing teams to spend hours each week manually gathering and entering data into spreadsheets. By the time this information is consolidated, analysed and trends are spotted, the market window for action has closed. Weather events that could explain price movements are tracked separately, creating blind spots between what happens in the field and how markets respond. When your procurement or trading strategy depends on reliable, timely visibility into market conditions across regions and products, this manual approach creates bottlenecks and introduces errors that ripple through decision-making.

The product

AgriMarket Intelligence consolidates licensed commodity and agricultural market data from sources your organisation already uses, normalising price series across regions, products and currencies into one time-series database accessible through a unified dashboard. You build connectors to your chosen data sources, and the system automatically overlays free satellite and weather data from the Copernicus program to help you connect weather events to market movements. Price and weather thresholds trigger rule-based alerts delivered immediately via email or chat, and you can export clean, consistent data for statistical analysis or custom modelling. The platform provides accounts, roles and permissions for multi-user teams, stores a complete audit trail of all actions, and includes Jupyter-style analysis tools for building custom models on top of normalised data.

What it does

Source connectors (licensed/public)

Data connectors are built for a defined set of sources, with the legal reuse terms and licence status documented and monitored for each one.

Normalisation & series store

The system normalises units, currencies and product codes across all incoming data, then stores all observations—time, value, unit and currency—in a time-series database designed for efficient historical queries.

Dashboard & charts

You see price trends as normalised time series, calculate spreads between regions or products, identify seasonality patterns and compare multiple price observations side by side.

Weather/satellite overlays

Weather and vegetation layers from satellite sources are overlaid on top of your price regions to help connect weather events to market movements.

Alerts

Price and weather thresholds trigger rule-based alerts that are delivered immediately via email, chat or messaging systems so you never miss a significant move.

API & exports

Both CSV downloads and API access are available; each client or user gets API keys, defined quotas and a full audit trail of their data requests.

Problems it solves

  • Market prices exist across many different portals and PDF documents, forcing manual collection and repeated data entry.
  • Your team must compile and update a master spreadsheet each week, duplicating effort and creating bottlenecks.
  • By the time you gather all the price and weather data and spot the pattern, the opportunity to react has already passed.
  • Exporting clean, consistent price series for your internal models or statistical analysis is time-consuming and error-prone.

Standards it follows

  • Copernicus satellite and weather data is provided as open access by the European Union with supporting cloud infrastructure from leading EU-based providers.
